This is just a thought... What if you announced before a set that was to be recorded that the room will be miked during this set and it would be appreciated if the audience could be as quiet as possible during the song. The audience there always seems intelligent and reasonable to me. And i know Richard has to do his job.
But that way you could allow the person being recorded to have the option of having the room miked or not. And if the audience isn't quiet that's not your fault-if you make it clear that he or she takes that chance ahead of time.
It seems like it could be a good selling point. On the other hand if the idea is impractical in some way i'm not aware of or there's no interest in it, or Dan's not interested in it, it becomes, well, just a thought... Anyone interested?
